Through dedication you are expressing your commitment to raising your child in a Christian lifestyle and the supportive environment of the church. At Pitman Church, we see a clear Biblical difference between child baptism and child dedication. We believe that dedicating a child is a special moment to thank God for the gift of your child, and to entrust your child to God's care and protection. When we dedicate a child, we ask God to bless them, to be their guide and protector, and to help them grow up to know Him and follow His will. Dedication is a way of expressing our faith and future hope that your child will one day choose to follow Christ.

At Pitman Church, we believe that baptism is more than just an external act, it is an opportunity to make a public declaration of your internal conviction. The sacrament of baptism represents a dying to self, and a new life in Jesus Christ. Whether you are young or old, God has commanded that all believers are to be baptized. Baptism is an essential part of a relationship with Jesus. Know that our church community is here to support you in this significant milestone with Jesus Christ and we are here to help you every step of the way.

At Pitman Church, we recognize the importance of providing new parents with peace of mind when it comes to the safety of their children. To achieve this, we require that all adults who will be in contact with children pass the appropriate background screenings listed below. At Pitman Church, we understand the importance of your child's medical history and the role it plays in their overall health. That's why we have prepared a comprehensive medical release form that we require all parents or guardians to fill out prior to any activities.
